Which Dog Can Kill a Lion? Is It Possible for Dogs to Kill a Lion

Lions are King of the Jungle, and you’ll probably be in awe when you see one. They are big and strong and they have this confidence that no one can beat them. Even if you are far from these animals, you would still be in fear because when they get mad, you’ll instantly be killed. It’s easy to think that you can beat one when you have a weapon with you but what if you only have your dog alongside you? Are they able to beat a Lion for their pet owner?

I would probably save my dog from the Lion because from the size difference itself, your dog can’t beat a Lion. Let’s face the fact that Lion has a gigantic mouth and sharp teeth with a strong build that no dog can beat. However, it still depends on the dog breed. Some dogs can “fight” a Lion but they can’t kill it. There are dogs that have the capability, robust body, and the will to fight.

If cuteness from a dog can kill a Lion then your Family Pet can win it. Nevertheless, here is the list of the biggest, the wildest, and the strongest dog breed that can match a fight with a Lion.

When all the intelligent and strong dog breeds listed here gang up to one Lion they will have a fair chance to survive and win. The breeds listed here have a natural instinct to fight and to guard thus when they are faced with a Lion they will not hold back. You can also note as an advantage the strong bite a Kangal can do. It only takes 600 psi of force to take down a Lion. However, a Lion hunts in packs too thus when faced with this kind of situation, it will be risky and hard.

Lions are considered to be the toughest, largest, and most influential animal in the Forest. The size of the largest dog breeds is nothing compared to the size of a Lion. They are gigantic, fast, and loud thus when given a chance that your dog will not fight a Mountain Lion then it’s best that the situation will be avoided.
